I
recall the first moment in this world,
When
I pushed my way out to see the land.
My
eyes and ears as eager as a new born child,
Waiting
to absorb any knowledge I could.
To
me the very fact of my birth was mysterious,
A
great feat accomplished in time.
I
sensed something even as I approached the surface,
Something
calling out to me from a place so fine.
I
was alone and untaught of the ways of survival,
Yet
without any doubt in my mind.
I
crawled blindly searching to find,
The
one thing I was looking for.
The
love of my mom,
I
started to move, prepared for a long walk,
I
felt a wonderful person guiding me to talk.
I
knew in an instant that I was going the right way,
So
then I walked and walked..
Towards
the edge of the land,
Knowing
that there, I would find my new home…….
